ZDF tourney tees off today

The ZNA public relations department said they were looking forward to a very successful event that will feature several top amateurs.

“We will be hosting the first edition of the Commander Defence Forces Amateur golf championships at Borrowdale Brooke and a lot of excitement is expected,” the ZNA said in a statement.

“The event will be graced by defence chiefs from Sadc, who will be joined by local service chiefs. The event will be held in support of Musha Mukadzi Zimbabwe Armed Forces Foundation.

“The foundation needs support for its sustainability hence the fundraising golf event.  Companies can participate as teams or individuals and the format will be individual stableford four-ball-better-ball.

“There are several things on offer like corporate sponsoring of a hole.
“The  corporate sponsor of prizes, these can take the form of cash or goods donation for auction, appropriate recognition will be given to your company at the event and at the cocktail party thereafter.

“If you are unable to play or sponsor a hole or a prize, we request that your company contribute a goodwill donation to the event.”
Meanwhile, Royal Harare will today host the Afdis 2013 Corporate Golf Day, with a field of 116 players expected to tee off.

The event is aimed at bringing together Afdis and its customers, stakeholders and business partners.
The format will be a four-ball alliance with two scores to count at par threes and fours while all scores will count on par fives.
There will be also team prizes for the best two individual stableford scores of the day and the Royal driving range will be open free of charge to all participants.
