BANTU Rovers’ experienced defender Zephania Ngodzo believes their 3-1 victory over How Mine last weekend in a Castle Lager Premiership tie was the right tonic to motivate the boys ahead of their clash with Dynamos at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday. They were not fancied to pick a point against a team that had prepared well for the season. How Mine appeared more match fit after playing six Caf Confederation Cup games and had unleashed some of the players who were not registered for duty in the continental tournament.

“We have a fair chance to win the match. It’s 50-50, we have worked hard for the game and we know they have done their bit,” said Ngodzo at their training session at the match venue yesterday.

He said the result against How Mine had motivated the boys.

“I think the boys did not have self-belief before that game. Now they believe they can compete and we will give it our best shot against Dynamos on Monday. The morale is high and the training all week was fantastic,” said the former Highlanders, FC Platinum, Chicken Inn and Warriors defender.

Dynamos were dealt a big blow last week when they conceded a last minute goal against ZPC Kariba. The Bulawayo lads must not read too much into that game because Dynamos is capable of shocking them.

DeMbare will obviously use the Independence Cup final match against FC Platinum  to perfect combinations ahead of the Bulawayo game on Monday.
