Zesa builds houses for 90 families

The Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) has started constructing houses for 90 families that are set to be relocated away from power lines that will evacuate power from new units – Unit  7 and 8 – at Hwange Power Station.

ZPC project site manager Engineer Forbes Chinakira said: “The expansion project includes transmission infrastructure to facilitate evacuation of the additional increased power flows into the national grid.

“All the homesteads are under construction.

“The biggest project is at Mazvi Village, where 29 houses are under construction.

“As we speak, the houses are at different stages of development.

“We have houses being constructed in Hwange, Tsholotsho, Lupane, Umguza and Eping Forest.”
