THE curtain comes down on the Girls College Tennis League with Nust and Zesa still fighting for honours. The power utility company-sponsored team is on top of the log standings with 27 points while the students are second on 24 points with a game in hand. Both teams have tasted defeat once this season.
Zesa take on Girls College while Nust will have a double header, clashing with ZRP Fairbridge and Girls College.
In League B, Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) have already scooped the title and are set to finish the season unbeaten if they win their last game.
ZPCS take on Whitestone while Girls College will play against ZRP Ross Camp.
There are only two teams in the veterans section, Girls College and ZRP Ross Camp and the former won both encounters.
They are set to wrap up the season with a double header against each other.
Leagues spokesperson Thesley Mufunda said the season was a success.
“This season was competitive and successful in terms of participation, we even had schools like Falcon and Whitestone taking part,” he said.
Mufunda said they want to start next season much earlier to avoid the rainy season.
