MASTER of ceremonies and writer, Givemore Manatsa, reckons entertaining people runs in his DNA.
The 38-year-old entertainer dropped his old surname, Madziya, for Manatsa after being embraced by Zex Manatsa’s family.
Zex succumbed to cancer on January 20 last year aged 78.
Givemore has been making waves as an entertainer, whose stock keeps on rising, with each passing day.
He has been enjoying his calling as a director of ceremonies.
“I was born a down-to-earth person despite my late dad being a legend. I am modest and nothing will change me.
“We share something in common with my late father, which is the microphone.
“Him being a great musician during his time, I also dream to be one of the finest MCs someday,” he said.
The multi-talented events manager believes he will become a household name.
“I have been working in the private sector for the past 20 years and making time for emceeing when I’m not at work.
“I have been an MC for years but doing it for fun at different avenues.
“After taking some time to reflect, I then decided to take it to another level.
“With the aid of close friends in this industry, I then started Givemore Manatsa Events, a baby which was born on the 10th of February this year.”
Asked what makes him unique from others, he explained:
“I cannot compare myself with other MCs since every human being is unique in his or her own way.
“I do emceeing at weddings, graduations, birthdays and engagement parties and also, at private corporate functions if the opportunity arises.
“My biggest event, which I have presided over as an MC so far, is the ZBC Classic 263 Radio Listeners Fan Club Official Launch, which took place recently in the capital on the 1st of April.
“Other huge events are on the cards during the course of the year.”
He added: “You interact with a lot of great minds along the way and it enhances your well-being positively.
“I also write articles for fun when I’m away from work.
““When I present it to my colleagues, they always salute it many a time they encourage me to enrol into becoming a writer.
“I also have plenty of songs which I wrote years back, gathering dust in the shelf, probably one day, time and God permitting, I will visit the studio and record.”
With his other siblings having made names for themselves as instrumentalists, Givemore says he is waiting for the right time to come.
