A MAN from Zhombe was fatally stabbed with a knife at Hove Business Centre after he knocked some meat that was on a braai stand to the ground and stepped on it.

Midlands Provincial police spokesman, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, confirmed the incident, which occurred on Saturday.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is on the hunt for a 26-year-old man who stabbed a fellow villager to death at Hove Business Centre, Zhombe on May 24 at about 7:30 pm,” he said.

Insp Mahoko said the suspected killer, Tinashe Mazanhi (25), met his victim Paul Herbert at Hove Business Centre, Zhombe, where there was a braai.

“The now deceased Paul Herbert allegedly knocked the meat off the braai stand and stepped on it,” Inspector Mahoko said.

“This did not go well with Mazanhi, who drew an Okapi knife and stabbed Herbert on the chest.”

Insp Mahoko said Herbert was rushed to Kadoma General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

“We are calling for anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of Tinashe Mazanhi to approach any nearest police station,” he said
