The occasion was graced by the Zimbabwe Handball Federation president, Amon Madzvamuse, who commended the school’s authorities for coming up with such a programme to encourage their pupils to participate in sport.

“Thumbs up to the school authority and management for affording this ground-breaking opportunity of sports alone without partnering it with academics.
“I urge you to continue nurturing, developing and exposing talent so that the athletes and the school achieve pole status in the region,” said Madzvamuse.

Madzvamuse, who was the guest of honour at the function, offered the Tynwald High School’s handball team a rare opportunity of going to Spain for a tour in July next year. As your guest of honour and the Zimbabwe Handball Federation president, I would like to associate with quality, intellectuals and conquerors.
“I therefore afford Tynwald High School an opportunity to showcase your talent in handball by way of a handball tour of Spain in July where they will play in an invitational tournament,” Madzvamuse said.
