Ashford Mamelodi, will assess the proposed new zifa constitution.
Speaking at the ceremony, Johnson said the invitation was for a worthy cause and it will help Zimbabwe football.
“We will help ensure that the constitutional review by Zifa is in line with that can be found the world over,” said Johnson.

“This will benefit Zimbabwean football and we hope to have a good stay.”
Zifa president, Cuthbert Dube, said the country welcomed the Fifa delegation and was ready to forge ahead with a new constitution governing football.
“Zimbabwe is privileged and honoured to host a high profile workshop, which is set to change the complexion of the game,” said Dube.

“The next three days are going to define the ground rules for the institution, without which football will be ungovernable.
“Zimbabwean soccer has endured a lot of anguish as a result of statutory flaws. I am thankful to Fifa for lending us support in reforming our statutes.

“Fifa has supported us very much and their presence this time show the world governing board’s commitment to see Zimbabwean football turn on a new leaf in terms of corporate governance.

“We cannot exist outside of the Fifa statutes and by that submit ourselves to Fifa’s guidance.
“The Zifa constitutional review committee appointed in 2011 has done a good job by drafting a document that will guide the discussions.”
