THE Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) has called on all football coaches across the country to register at their provincial offices as part of a nationwide initiative to create a comprehensive database.
The deadline for the survey, aimed at gathering detailed information on qualified coaches, has been extended to March 31, 2025.
The programme started last year in December.
In a statement released by Zifa, the association emphasised the importance of the survey in shaping the future of football coaching in Zimbabwe.
The database will assist in analysis, coach education programmes and strategic planning aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of coaching throughout the nation.
“This initiative aims to gather comprehensive information on the number of qualified coaches in Zimbabwe, their respective qualifications, current employment status and other relevant details. The data collected will play a crucial role in the development and strategic planning of football coaching in the country,” Zifa said.
The association encouraged all coaches who have not yet registered, to take part in the process, ensuring that their details are included in the database.

Participation in the survey will also grant coaches access to future training opportunities and professional development courses facilitated by Zifa.
“We urge all coaches who have not yet participated in the survey to seize this opportunity to provide their details before the revised deadline. Your co-operation is vital in ensuring accurate and up-to-date records that will contribute to the growth and professionalisation of football coaching in Zimbabwe,” said Zifa.
This move is seen as a crucial step in strengthening the foundation of Zimbabwean football, with the aim of fostering a more structured and sustainable coaching system across the nation.
Coaches from all four regions of Zimbabwe are encouraged to participate and contribute to the development of the sport in the country.
Coaches and stakeholders have until the end of March to complete the registration process at their respective provincial offices.
