The 21km race, which began at Jolie Cite and ended at Stade De La Kenya Stadium, saw Cephas Pasipamire romping home first in a time of 1:1:25 to claim gold after beating a field of 31 athletes.
Another Zimbabwean, Trust Chidomaya, finished second to win silver, clocking 1:1:32 and Zimbabwe made a clean sweep of medals when Abel Chimukoko was third in a time of 1:1:50.
Pasipamire was thrilled at winning gold the medal and dedicated it the Zimbabwe delegation that cheered him throughout the half-marathon.
He said despite his ankle injury, he managed to shrug off the challenge of other athletes.
In the women’s half-marathon, Namibian Beata Naigambo beat a field of 15 athletes, clocking 1:12:22, to win gold with Zimbabwean Faith Sanyika settling for second position.
Another Zimbabwean, Phillipa Chiwore, was third clocking 1:18:31, earning herself a bronze medal.
Zimbabwe added two more gold medals in the team awards with both men and women finishing first.
In the men’s category, Pasipamire, Chidomaya, Chimukoko and Hebert Dube, who was seventh, partnered to win gold medal.
In second place were hosts DRC who won silver medal and Angola finished third.
Sanyika, Chiwore, Patience Mugwada, who came fifth in time of 1:20:54 and Ruregero Chizikano, who finished sixth clocking 1:25:28, won gold medal for Zimbabwe.
The overall standings after the completion of all athletics events saw Zimbabwe in first place, DRC second and Angola third.
Meanwhile, the curtain comes down of the seventh edition of the SARPCCO Games today with the final of soccer match pitting Zimbabwe and Zambia at the Stade De La Kenya Stadium at 3pm.
