Zim business leaders head to Cape Town

Local business association, the Zimbabwe Leadership Forum (ZIMLEF) has announced that the annual Chairperson’s Lounge, a prestigious corporate event convened by chairpersons and top executives from major companies in Zimbabwe, will take place from September 26 to 29, in Cape Town, South Africa.

Under the theme; “Paradigm Shift and Permanence in Global Business Leadership,” the event will feature renowned speakers, interactive sessions and networking opportunities. 

The annual Chairperson’s Lounge aims to celebrate African business excellence, promote thought leadership, and inspire innovation and growth.

“We are thrilled to bring together Africa’s business leaders to share insights and explore opportunities for growth and expansion,” said Mr Canaan Dube, the ZIMLEF chair. 

“This event embodies our commitment to fostering collaboration and excellence in African business leadership.”

ZIMLEF managing consultant, Tendai Simbarashe Rusere said an array of speakers had been lined up locally and internationally for the event aimed at stretching African business to the next level.

The line up of speakers includes Natalie Jabangwe, the group digital executive officer for Sanlam Group, Mr Dube, a senior partner at Dube, Manikai and Hwacha law firm, Precious Murena Nyika, the chief executive for Winfield Strategy, Patrick Devenish, the chair for First Capital Bank and the Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board, Allen Choruma, the Chief Secretary, Corporate Governance Unit in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Nozipho Maraire, Africa’s first black female neurosurgeon and Herbert Nkala who chairs OK Zimbabwe, Tanganda Tea Company and Turnall.
