‘Zim cheetah’ bares claws

docile demeanour to unsheath claws she has been hiding skilfully.
Until Sunday Vimbai’s major pastime in the Big Brother Amplified house has been hanging out with her homie Wendall.

No sooner had Weza, Alex and Miss P left the house, than the Zimbabwean picked up on Karen’s attack on her about the pilot from her country. Without mincing her words, she told Nigeria’s Karen to butt out of her relationship with Wendall. She said if she indeed has a crush on him, Karen should pursue the affair outside the house.
Vimbai asked Karen to respect the boundary she had set between them. She told Karen that they were not friends, implying they would never be. Karen told Vimbai to f**k off. To which the tall Zimbabwean belittled her by saying her vocabulary was limited before walking away. She said she was tired of that conversation but that they could always pick it up later.

Vimbai is territorial about Wendall because she has been trying to cultivate a relationship with the pilot, who seems to offer friendship in return. These days, however, he pays attention to her, bringing her tea and consoling her about her spat with Karen.

Karen went into Wendall’s bed, though Vimbai was already there. An irate Vimbai left, only to be told by Karen that she would continue playing with Wendall because the Zimbabweans are clearly not in a relationship.
Vimbai, who is Head of House this week, saved Wendall from nomination, replacing him with Zambia’s Mumba. Also on tenterhooks for Sunday are Botswana’s Zeus, Namibia’s Bernadina and Malawi’s Lomwe. – Sowetan.
