Zim Covid – 19 rise to 203

ZIMBABWE has recorded 26 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 203.

According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care, of the total new cases, 22 are returnees from South Africa and three from Botswana. One case was due to local transmission.

“As at June 1, 2020, Zimbabwe had 203 confirmed cases, including 29 recoveries and four (4) deaths. A total of 26 people tested positive today (June 1) and 25 of these are from returnees who are in isolation,” read the statement from the Ministry.

Covid-19 cases in Bulawayo remain at 18.

Four deaths have been recorded countrywide since the first case of the outbreak was reported on March 20.
