“On behalf of Zimbabwean Ambassadors and Consuls Generals, I would like to express our heartfelt condolences to His Excellency President Mnangagwa, the Government, the nation and the Tomama family for the sad loss of Johannes Tomana on 6 August 2023. He was a highly patriotic Zimbabwean and sovereign African. “Among that, Tomana will be remembered for the legal victories scored by Zimbabwe in the Kimberly process when the same forces sought to undermine and destroy the country’s economy through an attempt to stop Zimbabwe from mining it’s diamonds. Ambassador Tomana was a strong advocate for the beneficiation of African minerals and other various resources,” he said.
