The boys played the quarterfinals yesterday and Lame Botshoma and Gabri’el Teja beat Sabastian La Grange and Vladimir Makic 6-3 6-3.
In the other quarterfinal Sibusiso Ndimande and Tendai Tapfuma beat Benmore Operison and Guy Orly Iridukunda 6-3, 6-3 while Innocent Mhere and Ronzai Saurombe sailed past Joshua Luck and Takudzwa Muswere. Adrian du Toit and Mathew Roussouw beat Michael Mandingwa and Taedzwa Mariga 6-4, 6-1.
The boys’ singles matches saw top seed Tendai Tapfuma getting the better of Joshua Luck of South Africa 6-4 6-3 while Burundi’s Iridukunda beat Zimbabwean Courtney Lock 4-6, 6,3, 6,2. Namibia’s Tuckie Jacobs overpowered Teja of Kenya in a competitive three-set match while Roussouw dismissed Innocent Mhere 6-2, 6-1 to book a semi-final place.
