HOSTS Zimbabwe Gymnastics have named the team to represent the country at the Zone VI gymnastics championships at Belvedere Technical Teachers College gymnasium in Harare next month.  Zimbabwe gymnastic vice-president/coach Chris Muchatuta said they are confident the squad will represent the country well at the competition.
The event is expected to have 243 athletes and is going to run for three days.

“We are happy with the squad and we believe they will represent the nation well at the competition.
“We have quite strong, talented and competitive participants.
“We are going to be working on our final routines and we are confident that the selection we did is a good one because some of the participants have represented Zimbabwe in many competitions and their performance was good.
“So we are sure that they will take the home advantage and make the nation proud,” said Muchatuta.

Angola, South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Lesotho and hosts Zimbabwe are the countries that have confirmed their participation in the championships.

Mozambique are no longer taking part in this years’ event.
