ZIMBABWE has welcomed Serbia’s invitation to participate at the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade, saying the gesture dovetails with the Second Republic’s thrust that Zimbabwe is open for business and keen to broaden its trade frontiers.
Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Professor Amon Murwira said the invitation provides a strategic platform to consolidate bilateral relations between Harare and Belgrade further.
He made the remarks during Serbia’s Statehood Day celebrations held in Harare, marking 44 years of cooperation between the two nations.
Prof Murwira said Zimbabwe, guided by its Foreign Relations and International Trade Policy, is prioritising economic diplomacy as the anchor of its global engagement.
“We are actively seeking strategic partnerships and joint ventures with Serbia that drive trade, investment, and innovation,” he said.
“As we celebrate 45 years of diplomatic relations, we look forward with determination to deepening our partnership.”
He extended an invitation to Serbia to join Zimbabwe in expanding trade horizons and embarking on innovative joint projects to strengthen the enduring bonds between the two countries.
