Zim marks International Girls in ICT Day

STAKEHOLDERS, including ICT sector players and young girls, have gathered in Chinhoyi to celebrate the belated International Girls in ICT Day.

The celebrations are running under the theme “Bridging all Divides for an Inclusive Digital Transformation”.

Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister Tatenda Mavetera is headlining the event at the Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) grounds.

The day is expected to ignite the passion of girls in pursuing and excelling in the ICT field.

It seeks to promote the uptake of STEM subjects for a future in ICT field.

Girls from schools across Mashonaland West Province are attending the event.
