ZIMBABWE is poised for massive economic growth this year with lives of thousands of people expected to change for the better, Bulawayo-based prophet Blessing Chiza has predicted. Addressing thousands of congregants during an all-night prayer on New Year’s Eve, Prophet Chiza, the leader of the Faith in God (FIG) Ministries, Eagle Life Assembly said 2014 would be a good year for Zimbabweans which would also see illegal Western sanctions being lifted. He praised President Mugabe’s leadership.
He predicted a marked improvement in gold sales for the country, the revival of the economy through different sectors, a tremendous improvement in the construction sector, including roads and better remuneration for civil servants.
“This year is going to be an excellent one for Zimbabwe. People must brace for a massive economic growth that will see thousands prospering and living better lives,” said Chiza adding, “The country’s industries will be revived this year and many people will realise business potentials in themselves.”
He went on: “I foresee some companies and organisations tremendously growing and providing employment opportunities for the people of Zimbabwe and Africa. Steward Bank is one of the many highly blessed and favoured organisations that will certainly grow and compete on Africa’s Stock Exchange market.”
Prophet Chiza also said he envisaged the lifting of the illegal sanctions imposed by the Western countries.
“God loves Zimbabwe and wants free flow of money in the country for the benefit of His people. Through his grace, sanctions will be removed as the Western countries seek diplomatic relations in Zimbabwe,” he said.
“The construction sector will tremendously improve this year and create an increased demand for land. I see the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority raking in millions of dollars through the construction industry. The mining sector will also improve, with gold raking in millions of dollars for the country.”
Prophet Chiza said as the country’s economy improves the local Zimbabwean dollar would be reintroduced and will gain strength and be almost at par with currencies from developed countries, almost at a ratio of 1:3 to the United States dollar.
He said people should not be fooled by prophets of doom who project a pessimistic view of the country.
He said: “People must not be fooled by reports that Zimbabwe will collapse. The opposite is actually true. God will also answer the prayers of civil servants, as they will get better remuneration and working conditions.”
Chiza said President Mugabe, whom he described as an economic liberator was a blessing to the country.
“I do not support any political party. I am simply a prophet of God and I deliver to people what he has revealed to me. President Mugabe’s inauguration is a blessing to Zimbabwe. It will usher in a new era for Zimbabwean change and future of many people. I see many books being written about him as an economic liberator, not only in Zimbabwe but in Africa,” he said.
Chiza, however, urged congregants to pray against social evils such as passion killings, prostitution and corruption.
“Despite the good things that God wants to do for the country,” he said, “We must pray against passion killing as many people struggle with marriages. There is a spirit that is working against marriages and causing people to resort to murder and suicide.”
He added: “I also see an increase in the number of prostitutes, including males, which will make the country record a significant increase in the number of sexually transmitted diseases. The nation must therefore pray for good marriages and good health.”
Prophet Chiza said 2014 would also be a good year for Highlanders Football Club and said the club will win the league title, a few weeks after he foretold the Bulawayo side’s Mbada Diamond Cup triumph. The all-night prayer was held under the theme “Abundance of rains and divine encounters”.
