FOUR Zimbabwean bodybuilders are tipped to be among the top contenders when the first edition of the Gaborone Classic is staged at the Lamila Lodge in Botswana on Saturday.
Reigning Mr Botswana Isaac Chimuchenga, Vincent Kandiyero, Upenyu Biglife Mahlaulo and Simba Fero are set to parade their lusty sinews when they take part in the event this weekend.

Chimuchenga, who is Zimbabwe’s Mr Iron Man, is equally upbeat on his chances after winning the Mr Botswana title three times.
“I am going to enter the Gaborone Classic and this is a new contest. I am confident of doing well because I won the Mr Botswana title in 2008, 2010 and 2013,” said Chimuchenga.

Event organiser Last Sithole said they were expecting at least 30 hulks for the show.
Sithole is a Zimbabwean fitness trainer who is now based in Gaborone and has competed in local events like Mr Zimbabwe.

“From what I know the Botswana Defence Forces usually send athletes from most of their camps. So I am sure we will get a good turnout.
“It’s a new event and there is a lot of excitement over it. The pre-judging and the main show will be at the same place.
