Africa Moyo in BALI, Indonesia
Zimbabwe and Indonesia have signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in the area of health.
Vice President Kembo Mohadi witnessed the signing ceremony in morning, on the sidelines of the Second Indonesia-Africa Forum and the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships, which end today.
First to be signed was the MoU in the field of health, betweeen the Ministry of Health and Child Care and Indonesia’s Health Ministry.
Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Minister Monica Mutsvangwa represented Zimbabwe while Indonesia’s Health Minister, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, signed for his country.

The other MoU was signed between the National Pharmaceutical Company (NatPharm) and Indonesia’s Biopharma Group.
It is on cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.
NatPharm board chairperson Ms Ruth Kaseke represented her organisation at the signing ceremony while Biofarma was represented by its business development director Ms Yuliana Indriati.
In an interview afterwards, VP Mohadi, who is representing President Mnangagwa at the the conferences, said the signing of the MoUs was a sign of more to come as Zimbabwe seeks to deepen cooperation with Indonesia.VP Mohadi engages Indonesia’s Health Minister Sadikin after the signing ceremony
On her part, Ms Kaseke said the deal will help boost NatPharm’s operations.
