A ZIMBABWEAN student, Fortune Chisoko, has raised the Zimbabwean flag high by scooping the best Overall Chartered Accountant award at the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Ms Chisoko is an Auditor and Accountant with over eight years of experience in conducting external audits for both public and private sector entities. She is renowned for her dedication, hard work, critical thinking, and unwavering focus.
Ms Chisoko earned her Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Africa University in 2015, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa in 2016, reflecting her commitment to continuous professional development.
Recognising that practical experience is essential for career growth, Ms Chisoko completed her articles of clerkship with Grant Thornton Zimbabwe in 2018.
This experience equipped her with the technical skills and professional judgment required to excel in the accounting profession.
In 2019, she joined the Urban Development Corporation (UDCORP) as a Senior Auditor.
Pursuing further professional growth, Ms Chisoko enrolled with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) in November 2023 to undertake the Chartered Accountant (CA) Zambia professional qualification.
She is the daughter to Director (Media Services) in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Mr George Chisoko.
