ZIMBABWE National Karate Federation have begun preparing for the upcoming Guardian Girls Karate Instructors Course and the 18th WKF Youth Camp and Karate 1 – Youth League to be held in Harare in November and March respectively.

Zimbabwe will first host the Guardian Girls Karate Instructors’ Course on November 19 and 20.

This is a World Karate Federation-led programme in partnership with UNFPA and is focused on equipping female instructors with skills to run self-defence and anti-gender-based violence programmes.

Participants will be drawn from different countries.

After the course, ZNKF will shift focus to the 18th WKF World Youth Camp and Karate 1 – Youth League scheduled for March 2026.

The event will include training for young karatekas by World and Olympic champions, and participating in an International Ranking Youth League competition.

It is going to be one of the biggest karate events ever hosted by Zimbabwe with over 3 000 athletes expected from across the world.
