ZIMBABWE has set sights on tapping into Mexico’s agricultural expertise while also exchanging notes on some of its best practices for the
benefit of the two nations, Vice President Kembo Mohadi said.
The Vice President who is in the Northern American nation for the inauguration of Mexico President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum slated for
tomorrow said Zimbabwe stands to benefit on the agricultural front.
“We are an agricultural country, and our economy is agriculture-based,” he said.
“I am being informed that Mexico is very good at that, and they are interested in partnering with us in agriculture and also in the
development of water bodies.”
Zimbabwe is endowed with an abundance of fertile agricultural land of up to 33 million hectares, and a good climate.
The climate is favourable to producing over 23 exportable crops and livestock commodities, including maize, cereals, soyabean, oil crops,
