Zim woman arrested in India over drugs

Inter3Cape TOWN. — A Zimbabwean woman has reportedly been arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport in India as she allegedly tried to smuggle narcotics worth about US$96 000.According to newzimbabwe.com, Dzvetero Mtegwe Mcvee (34) and her Mozambican companion Macamo Paulo Azarias (27) were arrested as they tried to board a plane to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The two were found to be in possession of 60kg of Pseudoephedrine, a banned narcotic drug used commonly by youngsters.
India’s Central Industrial Security Force said Mcvee was intercepted at one of the airport’s terminals when her activities aroused suspicion. — News24
