Zima postponed to next year

The 2015 Zimbabwe Music Awards (Zima) have once again been postponed to next year but nominees are expected to be revealed today in Harare.

Zima chairman, Joseph Nyadzayo yesterday said the finalists had been selected after a marathon adjudication process.

“A select stellar guild of music adjudicators came up with a list of nominees that’ll appeal to the masses as being the cream of the crop in the year under review. A glitzy awards ceremony will be held at the beginning of next year,” Nyadzayo said.

He said owing to a bigger celebratory event, the roadmap to the finals would be event-packed with nominees touring the country.

“We feel the need to take nominees to communities where they will interact with fans ahead of the event. This will be done in order to bridge the gap between fans and their idols, a spirit Zima has always embraced.”
