FOLLOWING Lady Chevrons’ dismal perfomance at the 2026 ICC T20 Global Qualifiers held in Nepal, the Zimbabwe Cricket has named a new interim technical team for the Lady Chevrons ahead of the New Zealand tour.

In a statement released by the local cricket motherboard, ZC managing director Givemore Makoni confirmed the changes.

“We felt it was important to act decisively following the recent T20 World Cup Qualifier campaign,” he said.

“As we enter the ICC Women’s Championship for the first time, this is a significant moment for Zimbabwe Women’s cricket and it demands renewed focus, energy and accountability,” said Makoni.

Zimbabwe Cricket has since announced that Kate Ebrahim will take charge of the Lady Chevrons ahead of their tour to New Zealand.

The former New Zealand international brings valuable experience, including knowledge of the country’s conditions.

“We believe she is well placed to guide the team during this important tour while we finalise permanent appointments ” said Makoni.
