THE Zimbabwe Footgolf Women World Cup Team is gearing up to make their mark on the global stage, having been drawn in Group A alongside host Mexico, Scotland, and Turkey at the upcoming Footgolf World Cup in Acapulco City, Mexico.
The global footgolf showcase runs from May 27 to June 7.
The draw was done in Mexico Acapulco yesterday.
Ranked fourth in the world in women’s participation, Zimbabwe is poised to shine, with a talented squad comprising Beauty Mashave, Betty Mashonganyika, Margial Majoko, Munyuki Vanessa, and Linda Wasara, supported by reserve players Beauty Diniwe, Angelica Garira, Margret Vambe, and Vupenyu Chitoro.
The team will be joined by top male players Tadiwanashe Kambizi, Washington Moyo, Samuel Nyambiya, and Eleven Kambizi, with reserve players also competing against over 900 players from around the world.

Zimbabwe Footgoft organising chairperson Vanessa Munyuki said: “The Zimbabwean contingent will unveil its travelling delegation in the coming days, ahead of a busy preparation schedule, including a trip to Zambia for the University of Zambia Footgolf Tournament, as well as local tournaments such as Chimanimani, Falcon, Harry Allen, and Cam and Motor Mine.
“We are thrilled to be representing Zimbabwe on the world stage and we are appealing for financial support from well-wishers to help make our dream a reality. The team is eager to fly the Zimbabwe flag high and make a lasting impression at the inaugural Women’s Footgolf World Cup,” said the games.
