Zimbabwe-Malawi Senior Officials Meeting begins in Harare

The Senior Officials Meeting of the Mid-Term Review of the 11th Session of the Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation between Zimbabwe and Malawi has opened in Harare today and ends tomorrow.

The meeting was opened by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Albert Chimbindi, and Malawi’s Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Chauncy Simwaka.

In his remarks, Ambassador Chimbindi said the MTR enables them to review progress, accelerate implementation, resolve outstanding matters, and ensure that all instruments of cooperation yield measurable benefits for the citizens of the two countries.

Minister Simwaka said the meeting will enable them to prepare for the Summit and ministerial meetings scheduled for next year.
