Zimbabwe Netball Association hopes to send male team to SA

THE Zimbabwe Netball Association (ZINA) hopes to send a team to compete in the Males International Netball Tournament at the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria, South Africa, from September 15-18.

Other participating teams are South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Pakistan and Lesotho.

Leticia Chipandu, Zimbabwe Netball Association president, said they had received an invitation to the tournament and were working on ensuring they send a team.

“You know with the Covid-19 situation in our country; it’s not going to be easy, but we are trying our best to ensure they go and participate. We have players that are playing in South Africa that are available selection,” said Chipandu.

She the male version of netball is on the rise around the world, although it hasn’t been readily accepted in Zimbabwe. – @innocentskizoe
