Covid-19 recovery rate now at 90 percent

ELEVEN people died while 70 tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday in Zimbabwe as the country’s recovery rate keeps improving.

On Sunday the rate stood at 90 percent up from 89 recorded on Saturday.

The Ministry of Health and Child Care says the 11 deaths were recorded im Bulawayo (2), Harare (1), Manicaland (4), Mashonaland Central (2) and Mashonaland West province (2).

“We recorded 70 new cases, all local and 11 deaths in the last 24 hours where 1 969 Covid-19 tests were conducted. As at 29 August 2021, Zimbabwe had 124 437 confirmed cases, 111 534 recoveries and 4 401 deaths. To date, a total of 2 530 481 people have received their 1st Covid-19 vaccine,” says the Ministry.
