INDONESIA has expressed readiness to partner Zimbabwe in unlocking mutually beneficial economic opportunities in what is meant to unlock vast business opportunities for both nations.
The Southeast Asian nation is among exhibitors at the 66th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in Bulawayo where exhibitions are already taking place.
Botswana President Duma Boko is expected to officially open ZITF on Thursday, while business exhibitions got underway today.0
Arief Hidayat, Indonesian Ambassador to Zimbabwe said Indonesia seek to expand their footprint in Zimbabwe by partnering local firms.
This is expected to unlock more business opportunities for both nations, including tapping into wider regional value chains across various sectors.
“We were attracted by Zimbabwe’s thrust of being open for business, this is what we are looking for and we have committed to make significant presence at the ZITF.
“The ZITF is a good platform for us to implement all the agreements we have established with Zimbabwe, we are largely interested in projects in technology, energy, and agriculture considering that Zimbabwe are one of the best perfoming nations in Agriculture ,” said Arief Hidayat, Indonesian Ambassador to Zimbabwe.
Germany, Japan, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Italy, United Kingdom and Malaysia are also looking to unlock mega business opportunities through exhibiting at the ZITF were activity is already underway.
