Zimbabwe Republic Police rogue cop remanded in custody

A rogue policeman, Assistant Inspector Simbarashe Mandizvidza, who went viral for issuing treasonous social media videos and statements, appeared in court this afternoon.

Mandizvidza (35), who is currently stationed at the Police General Headquarters Salaries Services Bureau Liaison Office, appeared before Harare provincial magistrate Mr Vakayi Chikwekwe, who remanded him in custody until Monday for bail application.

He is facing charges of causing disaffection among the Police or the Defence Forces, fraudulently procuring the use of a vehicle and transmission of false data intending to cause harm.
