Zimbabwe shines at African FootGolf Championship in Vic Falls

MASHONALAND Central Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Christopher Magomo has hailed the country’s participation in the African FootGolf Open Championship in Victoria Falls from November 22 to 25 as a national milestone.

The country emerged as the continent’s leading FootGolf nation in membership and performance.

Minister Magomo was addressing members of the FootGolf team that participated in the championship during an awards ceremony held at his office recently.

Members of the team were drawn from the province. Minister Magomo applauded the athletes for raising the national flag high and positioning Zimbabwe as a competitive force in the rapidly growing sport.

The province has become a powerhouse in terms of FootGolf. The championship brought together teams from five African countries alongside participants from Germany and Slovenia.
