ZIMBABWE has stepped into the global spotlight for religious tourism as delegates from around the world converge for the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ 2025 Special Convention in Harare.

The convention is set to run from August 22 to 25 at the National Sports Stadium under the theme: “Pure Worship.”
In a post on its social media platforms, the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry said together with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) warmly welcomed religious tourists arriving at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport ahead of the convention.

“The event is expected to attract around 23 000 to 25 000 delegates, including approximately 2 000 international tourists from countries such as the United States of America (USA), United Kingdom (UK), Portugal, Denmark, Malawi, Mozambique and Angola, alongside around 21 000 domestic religious tourists,” said the Ministry.

“Many delegates are already exploring Zimbabwe’s tourism attractions such as Imire Game Park, Kuimbashiri and Wild is Life. The convention strengthens cultural exchange while positioning Zimbabwe as a premier religious tourism destination, where faith-inspired gatherings are enriched by cultural heritage, natural beauty and warm hospitality.”
The Ministry extended its heartfelt thanks to the Zimbabwe Jehovah’s Witnesses Church for partnering with them, helping to showcase Zimbabwe as a religious world-class destination.
