Zimbabwe will host the 13th edition of the International Research Symposium in the capital from October 14 to 15.
The symposium will be hosted by the Research Council of Zimbabwe (RCZ) and its partner the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) under the theme ‘Embracing Research and Innovation for Sustainable Industrialisation’.

Addressing journalists at a press conference in Harare on Friday, RCZ executive director Dr Partson Chikudza said the symposium is going to help the country to showcase its Education 5.0 outputs and create a platform for local and international researchers to exchange information, research findings, and ideas for innovations.

“The symposium is a great platform of interaction between researchers, captains of industry, and policymakers with a target of exchanging ideas, showcasing research excellence, and rewarding the same,” Dr Chikudza said.

“The 12th edition was held in February 2019 and due to the devastating effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, we could not host the subsequent editions.”
