Zimbabwean comedian Learnmore Jonasi, has reached a significant milestone in his career by securing a spot in the semi-finals of the popular television show America’s Got Talent.

Known as Long John back home, Jonasi made headlines in May when he earned the coveted Golden Buzzer after impressing the judges with his exceptional comedic talent. This achievement guaranteed him a place in the live shows, where he is proudly representing Zimbabwe.

He continued to excel and was announced this week as one of the semi-finalists.

Jonasi said he was excited to have made it this far in the competition.

His success has been met with overwhelming support from Zimbabweans, who have flooded social media with messages of congratulations and encouragement for the stand-up comedian.

Sadly, Zimbabweans back home will not be able to vote, as voting is only open to those in the United States.
