Featured designers include Charmaine Nziradzemhuka (Char Designz), Ropafadzo “Kuki” Mapira (SOLEIL), and Danayi Madondo (Haus of Stone). Complementing the runway presence, cultural leaders Gilmore Qhawe Khumalo (Gilmore Tee) and Usher Takudzwa Nyambi will facilitate a workshop on branding and strategic communications at the Mozambique Fashion Forum.

Powered by Paperbag Africa, the Zimbabwean designers will present collections rooted in African identity, sustainable innovation, and cultural storytelling, showcasing the craftsmanship and perspectives emerging from Harare. Meanwhile, Gilmore Tee and Nyambi’s workshop aims to equip regional designers with practical skills to build globally competitive brands while remaining anchored in cultural heritage.
“Our participation is a celebration of Zimbabwean creativity. From the runway to the classroom, we want to share skills, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaborations across the region,” the delegation said in a joint statement.

Founded to nurture local talent and elevate Mozambique’s creative sector, MFW has grown into one of Africa’s leading platforms for fashion, craft, culture, and creative dialogue. This year’s edition will attract designers, buyers, media practitioners, and cultural leaders from across the continent.

Beyond the runway, MFW offers workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, fostering connections among designers, models, photographers, buyers, and global fashion voices. The event champions sustainability, artisanal heritage, and cultural storytelling, creating a space where tradition meets contemporary design. – Follow on X: @MbuleloMpofu
