Zimbabwean man commits suicide live on Facebook

TV 47 DIGITTAL – A Zimbabwean man based in South Africa has shocked many after he committed suicide on Facebook Live.

Kelvin Mhofu Ngoshi on Saturday, March 23 broadcasted himself on the social media platform as he drunk a drink that people initially believed was regular Coca-Cola, after reportedly finding out that his girlfriend had cheated on him.

In the video shared by Crime Watch Zimbabwe, Ngoshi does not say a word but only drinks from the Coca-Cola bottle. It was later realised that the drink was laced with poison.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the lady who cheated on ngoshi is one Kudzie.

New Zimbabwe reports that upon termination of the relationship, Kudzi allegedly plotted revenge and reported Ngoshi’s illegal coal deals to the South Africa law enforcement authorities.

They were in a relationship since 2016 and they took a break for a while but got back together in 2023. Unfortunately, reports suggest that Kelvin was involved in some illegal coal deals in Mpumalanga, South Africa,” Crime Watch reports. “On top of cheating on Kelvin, Kudzie also reportedly informed authorities about Kelvin’s coal business, which put him in a difficult situation.”

Ngoshi, who leaves behind a minor daughter, is said to be the sole provider for his sister, who is battling cancer. “Kelvin not only took care of her financially but also covered her hospital bills.”
