LOCAL comedians have partnered with four Zambian comedians for content collaborations in a bid to promote homegrown talent and celebrate Africa’s rich culture and diversity.

Running under the ‘Afrocentric Content Collaboration Initiative’, Lucky Hangwane, Chilufya Kachingwa, Barnabas Kapolyo and Benard Musingwa are the four representatives from Zambia.

Doc Vikela is one of the comedians who are collaborating with the Zambians.

ACCI will encompass various content formats, including film and television productions, music collaborations, documentaries and podcasts and social media campaigns.

Takunda Tapfuma, one of the founders of Content Creators Association of Zimbabwe, said the partnership is designed to leverage the unique talents of African content creators to produce original and engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.

“These partnerships represent the exchange of creativity and culture and we are excited to work alongside amazing talents from Zambia who were in the country recently.

“The Zimbabwean team will travel to Zambia for some collaborations.

“The aim is to foster Pan-African unity, cultural exchange, and storytelling through collaborative content creation between Zambian and Zimbabwean content creators, producing Afrocentric content that resonates with African audiences worldwide,” he said.

The Afrocentric Content Collaboration Initiative offers a unique opportunity for Zambian and Zimbabwean content creators to unite, share their stories, and inspire African audiences worldwide.

By promoting cultural exchange, Afrocentric content and Pan-African unity, ACCI aims to leave a lasting impact on the African cultural landscape.
