adminSpeaking at a donation of US$1 000 by Liquid Telecom towards the Commissioner’s Outreach Programme yesterday, Rtd Maj-Gen Zimondi said assistance should first come from Zimbabweans.
“We should be self-reliant and we should not depend on other people outside the country to come and help us. It starts with us and may be extended to other people when it has begun with us,” he said.
ZPS, through its Health Directorate Services, intends to conduct the Commissioner’s Health Outreach programme at Mutawatawa Hospital grounds in Mashonaland East on Saturday to assist the under underprivileged.
“This donation will, therefore, no doubt make it possible for our medical team to successfully provide healthcare services that include medical consultation, dental and ophthalmology,” Rtd Maj-Gen Zimondi said.
“It is worth noting that the assessment programmes will be run by our medical doctors, dental surgeons, ophthalmologists, therapists and pharmacy technicians.”
