Zimpapers Cancer PowerWalk is here

LEADING integrated media, commercial printing and packaging company, Zimpapers Ltd is living up to the tenets of responsible corporate citizenship by joining the fight against the cancer through a PowerWalk that will be held in six cities and towns across the country tomorrow (Saturday).

Participants from other parts of the globe will also join the Zimpapers Cancer PowerWalk virtually.

In Manicaland, online registration of participants is ongoing until tomorrow (Saturday) morning, while physical registration being done in Mutare at The Manica Post Building along Hebert Chitepo Street.

A registration fee of US$10 or $6 5000 will see participants getting an event themed T-Shirt.

Zimpapers public relations manager, Mrs Pauline Matanda said: “Please, let us support this worthy cause by participating. We are so excited about this year’s Cancer PowerWalk as we are going physical in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Gweru, Masvingo and Kariba.

“We are inviting participants to register. Let us come in our numbers and walk together towards this worthy cause. Registration can also be done online.

“World over, participants can join virtually and post their short videos and pictures on our Zimpapers Facebook page and our Zimpapers2 Twitter handle. Let us all come in our numbers and walk together towards this worthy cause and support the noble fight against cancer,” said Mrs Matanda.

Cancer is now killing more people than HIV and Aids, TB and malaria combined, with over 12,7 million people receiving a cancer diagnoses and 7,6 million people dying from the disease globally every year.
