THE Zimpapers Institute yesterday celebrated the graduation of 29 students who completed a transformative five-week masterclass programme.

This event not only highlighted the institute’s commitment to equipping individuals with essential skills but also underscored its role in addressing the challenges of an ever-evolving job market.

The graduation ceremony was a vibrant showcase of three specialised programmes: Livestreaming and Multicamera Production, Digital Marketing and Social Media Content and Presentation.

Among the graduates, nine students excelled in Livestreaming and Multicamera Production, while 14 focused on Digital Marketing and six honed their skills in Social Media Content and Presentation. Each graduate emerged not just with a certificate, but with a renewed sense of confidence and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Zimpapers Training Institute acting principal Dr Limukani Ncube said: “Our courses are designed with a clear purpose; to close the skills gap across various industries.

“We recognise that many professionals may not have the time to return to full-time study, which is why we offer opportunities for them to learn new skills and gain practical, hands-on experience.”

The masterclass programme started on July 26 and ended on August 23, providing students with a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical insights.

Dr Ncube said the curriculum was meticulously crafted to ensure learners not only absorbed information but also applied it in real-world scenarios.

“At the core of our training is a practical delivery model. We want our students to leave with skills that are relevant and applicable in today’s job market,” he said.

Zimpapers Institute is already preparing for its next session, which begins on September 27. The upcoming cohort will focus on Digital Marketing, Data Analytics for Business, Graphic Design and Sound Engineering.

Dr Ncube said with the state-of-the-art equipment and facilities available to the learners, they ensure that training is not just theoretical, but practical and industry-driven.

“Our short courses will run over five weekends, guided by industry experts who bring real-world experience into the classroom.”

In addition to these short courses, the institute also offers full National Diploma programmes accredited by HEXCO in areas such as print and broadcast journalism, radio, television and film production, and digital marketing essentials.

“These longer diploma courses will be welcoming new students in January, further broadening our educational offerings,” said Dr Ncube.

As the graduates stepped into a competitive job market, the skills they acquired positioned them as valuable assets across industries.

Many graduates expressed gratitude for the programme and the opportunities it presented.
Joseph Manditswara, a graduate from the Livestreaming and MultiCamera production, said the masterclass will enable him to improve his work as a professional.

“This masterclass has not only equipped me with the skills I need but has also ignited my passion for this field.
“I feel ready to take on new challenges and contribute meaningfully to my future workplace,” he said.

The Zimpapers Institute continues to pave the way for future professionals, ensuring they are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of a dynamic employment landscape.

The journey of learning at the Zimpapers Institute is just beginning, and with each cohort, the institute reaffirms its dedication to fostering excellence and innovation in professional education.
