Zimpapers Training Institute (ZTI) has demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence after recording an impressive 90 percent overall institutional pass rate in the recently released May/June 2026 Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) examination results.

The outstanding performance reflects the Institute’s continued investment in quality teaching, practical skills development and industry-focused training, positioning ZTI as one of Zimbabwe’s emerging centres of excellence in media and business education.

Students from the Institute’s three flagship courses, Mass Communication, Film Making and Sales and Marketing Management, sat for the examinations across Intakes 1 and 2.

The results reveal exceptional performances, particularly among Intake 1 students, who achieved a remarkable 100 percent pass rate across all the three courses, showing the effectiveness of the Institute’s academic delivery and practical training model.

Mass Communication Intake 2 also recorded an impressive overall performance, achieving an 86 percent pass rate.

Film Making students also continued to perform strongly, recording an 81 percent overall pass rate.

Commenting on the results, ZTI Acting Principal, Dr Limukani Ncube, said the impressive performance demonstrates the institution’s unwavering commitment to producing highly skilled graduates capable of meeting the demands of modern industry.

“We are delighted that Zimpapers Training Institute has achieved an outstanding 90 percent pass rate in the May/June HEXCO examinations.

“This remarkable performance reflects the dedication of our students, the commitment of our lecturers and the quality of training that defines our institution.

“At Zimpapers Training Institute, we are committed to producing graduates who are not only academically competent but also equipped with practical, industry-relevant skills,” said Dr Ncube.

Dr Ncube added that ZTI, a brainchild of Zimbabwe’s leading integrated media house, Zimpapers, provides students with hands-on learning experiences and exposure to real-world work environments, making our graduates highly competitive in the job market.

He added:

“Beyond our accredited HEXCO programmes, we continue to expand our portfolio of short courses and professional masterclasses designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s workplace.

“These programmes cater for professionals seeking to upskill, entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses and school-going students eager to acquire digital and practical skills that prepare them for the future.

He emphasised that as technology continues to reshape industries, ZTI remains committed to offering innovative, flexible and market-driven training that empowers individuals and organisations to thrive in the digital age.

ZTI students benefit from exposure to professional newsrooms, experienced industry practitioners and modern learning approaches that bridge the gap between classroom learning and the workplace.

With another successful HEXCO examination session behind it, ZTI is currently accepting applications for upcoming intakes, with prospective students encouraged to enrol in programmes including Mass Communication, Film Making and Sales and Marketing Management, as well as a growing range of professional short courses and masterclasses tailored to the needs of industry.
