Zimra creating and maintaining synergies

The exhibition will run for five days from May 3 2011 to May 7 2011 at the ZITF grounds in Bulawayo. Zimra will be participating at this exhibition under the theme “Going beyond a decade of optimising business synergies”. The Authority will take this opportunity to showcase its services to the public and also educate its clients regarding its operations.

ZIMRA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BBR IN BEITBRIDGE
Zimra and Bitbridge Bulawayo Railway (Pvt) Ltd (BBR) have partnered for the construction of Beitbridge Border Post including staff accommodation in a public-private sector partnership (PPR).
The resultant smoother and speedier clearance of goods and passengers will have a positive impact on the entire economy’s productivity. Time saved at the border post will result in reduced cost by business and industry.

ZIMRA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH VARIOUS
STAKEHOLDERS

  • For the collection of road tolls (in conjunction with the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Infrastructure Development).
  • For the collection of third party insurance premiums (in conjunction with the Motor Pool Association of Zimbabwe).
  • In partnership with the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development, Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation and Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe for the collection of royalties on minerals.
  • In partnership with various Government departments and the central bank to enforce import, export and exchange controls.

ZIMRA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AUSAID
FOR CAPACITY BUILDING

Zimra has partnered with the Australian government through its development agency AUSAID to fund a capacity building programme called the Zimra Assistance Programme (ZIMRAP).
