Zimsec director steps down

to retire.
Deputy director Mr Esau Nhandara will act in the post until a new director is       found.
“Mr Ndanga has been at the helm of Zimsec for the past nine years and the institution will greatly miss him. Unfortunately his contract could not be renewed as he is retiring,” said Maphosa.
Maphosa said his board, which was appointed last month, is working hard to ensure that Zimsec provided a better service to the nation.
He denied reports that Mr Ndanga had been shown the door for incompetence.
“It is not true that he was sacked for making errant decisions but his term of office had ended. In fact he was the best,” he said. —New Ziana.
