ZIMSTAT has completed the mapping exercise for the 2025 Economic Census, which was conducted from July 8 to August 31, 2024.
The exercise aimed to subdivide the country into smaller geographic units called Business Enumeration Areas (BEAs) to enable ZimStat to collect accurate data on establishments.

Starting today, ZimStat will begin a listing exercise that will end on December 31, 2024.
During this phase, enumerators will visit households and business establishments to collect essential information in preparation for the Economic Census data collection.

The 2025 Economic Census is expected to commence in April 2025 and will run until June 2026, with the results to be released in 2027.
