Zimswitch launches new services

Payments technology company Zimswitch has launched new services which make use of the internet and mobile phones to transfer money.Known as ZIPIT (Zimswitch Instant Payment Interchange Technology), the technology allows people with bank accounts to send money to any bank account or cellphone.

Zimswitch general manager Mr Cyril Nyatsanza  said the new products would provide a reliable and safe payment service to help the industry bounce back.

“We want to be a trusted partner and make sure that payment is safe and reliable to support the industry to grow,” he said.
Mr Nyatsanza said they have introduced these services to help the customers to access funds      and make payments in a more convenient manner.

He said their role was not to compete with the banks but to complement them by providing services which would make it easier for all those who were banked to access funds and make their payments.

“I want to say to Zimbabweans, better be banked and get back to where you belong which is get back to using Zimswitch,” he said.
Another official from Zimswicth, Mr Zabron Chilakalaka, said the new products would go a long way in ensuring that customers get quality service.
