According to statistics from the Zinara mobile team, 79 drivers were detected between 3pm and 6pm on Wednesday and by midday yesterday, a further 113 had been caught.
Scores of commuters were yesterday delayed as kombi crews diverted routes to avoid the Zinara van that was stationed near Mckeurtan Primary School.
Angry commuters said they were shocked by the high number of kombi operators who had not bought licence discs, considering that they cost “only $45.”
“I think these people deserve to be arrested because they are now inconveniencing us,” said a commuter.
