ZINARA rolls out 100 percent penalty waiver during ZITF

THE Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) has announced a 100 percent waiver on penalties for vehicle licensing arrears in a limited-time promotion running alongside the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2026.

The campaign, running from April 20 to May 2, allows motorists with outstanding licence fees to settle their accounts without paying any accumulated penalties, a move aimed at improving compliance while easing the financial burden on vehicle owners.

ZINARA said the waiver applies to payments made at all its licensing offices, through licensed agents nationwide, and at selected tollgates, excluding those along the Mutare–Plumtree Highway.

The initiative is being rolled out under the theme “Be One in a Million,” in line with activities surrounding ZITF 2026, which kicked off on Monday in Bulawayo.

The authority said the move is expected to boost revenue inflows while enhancing compliance levels across the country.

Motorists have been urged to take advantage of the window period, with ZINARA noting that the offer is time-bound and subject to terms and conditions.

The road authority has previously introduced similar compliance measures during major national events to encourage motorists to clear outstanding dues and support road maintenance funding.
